The Rosette Nebula, NGC 2237, is not the only cosmic cloud of gas and dust to evoke the imagery of flowers, but it is the most famous.
At the edge of a large molecular cloud in some 5,000 light years away.
Stars in the energetic cluster, cataloged as NGC 2244, are only a few million years young, while the central cavity in the Rosette Nebula, is about 50 light-years in diameter.
The Rosette Nebula spans about 100 light years across, lies about 5000 light years away, and can be seen with a small telescope towards the constellation of the Unicorn (Monoceros).
It rises east at midnight these days and reaches meridian before sunrise.

سحابی گل سرخ
سحابی رزت ، ان جی سی ۲۲۳۷ ، تنها ابر کیهانی از گاز و گرد و غبار نیست که تصویر گلها را تداعی می کند ، اما مشهورترین آن است
سحابی رزت با قطری معادل یکصد سال نوری در مرکز خود خوشه ستاره ای جوان به قطر حدود پنجاه سال نوری را جای داده است که در فاصله پنج هزار سال نوری از زمین قرار دارد
این سحابی رو با تلسکوپی کوچک میتوان مشاهده کرد که در صورت فلکی تک شاخ قرار دارد
در این ایام نیمه شب از سمت شرق طلوع می کند و قبل از طلوع خورشید به نصف النهار می رسد
این تصویر تلسکوپی با فیلترهای باند باریک شرکت استرونومیک و در پالت های هابل و بای کالر تهیه شده است
